The College of Computing & Informatics invites applications for full-time teaching faculty positions in Data Science, Computing Security and Technology (CST), and Introductory Computing. 

The College is an innovative leader in educating information professionals in the twenty-first century, combining high quality teaching and research in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The College offers five BS degrees, five master's degrees, and two PhD degrees.  

Evaluation of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled. Enterprise Data Science 

This position, housed in the Department of Information Science, will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Science. The college is advancing data science education through degree programs at multiple levels. This position is also responsible to help develop new undergraduate courses for the BSDS program, as well as develop graduate curriculum, integrate data science education into multiple non-data science degree programs, bridge the college’s data science curricula to industry demands, and promote data science education to a wide audience. We are seeking an innovative leader of broad knowledge in data science.

Computing Security and Technology (CST) 

The BS CST degree program provides hands-on experience in managing and operating computer servers, networks, Web and mobile systems, and databases with particular attention to secure operations. Students choose one of two concentrations: Computing Technology or Computing Security. The degree emphasizes hands-on learning and applied technology.  

For this position, we are seeking a leader and innovator for developing and teaching Computing Security and Technology courses. Candidates should have an advanced degree in a related subject area. Relevant, recent industry experience in information technology is highly desirable. Successful applicants will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and be involved in service to the department and college. Operational expertise in the following areas is of special interest: security, computer forensics, applied cryptography, counter intelligence, server administration, network administration, network auditing tools, and enterprise systems management. To be considered, apply directly at www.drexeljobs.com/applicants/Central?quickFind=82891 or search www.drexeljobs.com for requisition number 8627. 

Introductory Computing 

The department offers BS, BA, MS, and PhD degrees in computer science, as well as BS and MS degrees in software engineering. 

For this position, we are seeking a leader and innovator for Computing and Informatics education for our introductory computing and informatics courses. Areas of relevant teaching expertise include foundational concepts in computing and informatics, computer programming, and principles of computing.  It is highly desired that the candidate have experience and interest in working with a diverse student population in an engaging way that inspires students to pursue education and careers in computing and informatics.
