Job description:
Are you an Industrial Internet professional who wants to be in the frontline, developing next generation applications to serve our customers even better? Willing to work for the leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries?

We are now strengthening our Valmet wide Industrial Internet organization with new Data Scientist.

You will act as an expert within the field of advanced analytics, consulting Valmet businesses on best suitable methods to solve analytical problems. The data Scientist actively develops Valmet's in-house competences and sub-supplier network and supports the strategy development within the Valmet Industrial Internet. In addition, the Data Scientist will actively participate in customer workshops and supports domain experts in development projects.

Requirements: In this role, the following requirements are important for your success:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or other relevant field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in advanced analytics development
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of mathematics, statistics, cloud and information technology
  • Experience from analytics of (large) data sets and development of automated analytics using generic analytic tools
  • Knowledge of Valmet customer industries (pulp, paper and energy) is an advantage
