Opportunity: The Department of Management and Information Systems (M&IS) at Kent State University seeks qualified applicants for an open tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor beginning Spring, 2019. Faculty teaching obligations are determined through research productivity. Collegial teaching and mentoring of doctoral students is an important expectation for this faculty member. Salary and benefits are competitive.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Ph.D. in Information Systems, Analytics, Decision Sciences or a related discipline from an AACSB accredited college or school.
  2. Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching at the Undergraduate level or higher. The spectrum of associated courses in our program includes predictive analytics, machine learning, optimization, data mining, data warehousing, and capstone projects with particular attention to business applications.
  3. Demonstrated domain expertise, reflected in a productive research portfolio in Analytics and/or related fields such as Information Systems and Decision Sciences that includes impactful publications and presentations at international conferences.
