Monash University Faculty of Information has embarked on an exciting journey to become the best faculty of IT in the world. A key component of that is the strong team of cybersecurity, in particular cryptography.
The Monash cryptography research team mainly focuses on the following areas:
- Post-quantum cryptography;
- Cloud and database security
- Privacy-enhanced technologies
Led by experts in the underlying technology, with engagement from researchers from across the Faculty of IT (FIT), and powered by expertise across the fields of cybersecurity, blockchain, machine learning and AI, digital health, finance, and the social sciences, the team has delivered unprecedented development of cryptographic technology, and published in top security venues such as CRYPTO, EUROCRYPT, CSS, Journal of Cryptology, etc.
Monash University FIT is pleased to announce the opportunity for a talented and passionate academic to join our world-class team. As part of the teaching and research role, the successful applicant will contribute to the cryptography team, and will engage in teaching, including the development of education resources and new course units; and research of cutting-edge cryptographic technologies and practices.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
