In this position, you will be conducting leading-edge research in data mining activities, involving automatically extracting patterns from large amounts of data, inference/reasoning from incomplete and structured data, and other related areas. Research topics include (but are not limited to): statistics, machine learning, pattern recognition, inference, classification, feature extraction, predictive modeling, time-series analysis and forecasting. Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in CS/EE/Statistics/Applied Math or an engineering discipline with an inter-disciplinary background in machine learning and/or statistics, with a proven record in research, innovative thinking, real world problem solving, and fast prototyping.
