Cyberian Outpost.com is reported to have used SAS e-discovery package to analyze its customers and segment them into three groups: customers, semiactive customers and dangerously inactive customers. A targeted email to the latter group resulted in about 25% of them making a purchase. Other companies mentioned as offering tools for e-analysis include IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Hyperion Solutions, Accrue, WebTrends, and Engage.
