The Vienna University of Technology invites applications for a
position of professor of Economics and Computer Science
("Wirtschaftsinformatik"). It is a permanent position.

The duties of the position include teaching and research in Economics
and Computer Science as well as coordination of teaching and research
in this area. We are particularly seeking a research focus on the
following topics: transdisciplinary approaches between computer
science and economics, managerial economics, operations research or
applied computer science areas such as simulation methods, information
systems in business and administration, electronic commerce, business
process reengineering, and data and knowledge management.

Applicants are expected to have outstanding scientific qualification
in research and teaching in at least one, but preferably more than one
of the above mentioned areas. Experience in leading research programs
and research teams is expected.

According to Austrian law the following particulars for this position
have to be met:

_ An appropriate university degree at an Austrian university or an
equivalent degree at a foreign university
_ A venia docendi at an Austrian university, an equivalent at a
foreign university, or an equivalent scientific qualification for the
discipline under consideration
_ Appropriate pedagogic and didactic qualification
_ The ability to lead an academic institution
_ A research record that proves the involvement in international
research communities
