Data Mining Engineer

Job Description:

The Data Mining Engineer will assist in building and running an integrated data mining system for Evite.com. The engineer will develop data mining algorithms as well as analyze and predict user behavior based on user click stream and log file data collected from our web site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and enhancement of scripts, algorithms, and reporting applications
• Maintain and develop program reporting tools and solutions for internal and external groups
• Work with multiple development and business groups to fulfill user data requests
• Produce and analyze the click stream and log file data<

Requirements:

• 2+ years with Java
• 3+ years with SQL
• 2+ years with Oracle
• Experience working with large data sets
• Hands on experience working with statistics, algorithms, and data mining.

• Knowledge of data warehousing

Intangibles:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion to work with and help build a highly accurate, scalable data mining system.

Education:

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
