JobsFrom: William West west@unext.comDate: Thu, 22 Jun 2000 16:05:37 -0500 Subject: Location Flexible: Data Mining Experts to Help Prepare a Course for CMU at Unext We are developing a graduate level course on Data Mining with Carnegie Mellon University. As part of our development effort, we're contracting "subject matter experts" (SME's) to contribute to the course contents. For this course, we're combining SME's from both the academic and practitioners side of DM. The two courses currently under development are: Data Mining 2 (Techniques) covers the techniques used to slice and dice data. Techniques range from Neuro Nets to Decision Trees. The objective is to determine which technique would work best for your company. Data Mining 3 (Implementation) covers the implementation of data mining techniques in your organization. How do you do it, from start to finish. This includes how you store the data, analyze the data, and report your results. Here's a link to tell you more about UNext.com (http://www.unext.com). The typical Subject Matter Expert works 8-12 hours per week either in our office or your office. Development will take about 12 weeks. Contract rate is based on experience, availability, and the role you can play on the project. We're very excited about the opportunity to produce this course. Our graduate level courses are extremely high quality and targeted to working adults who otherwise do not have access to a traditional institutional program. If you are interested in joining this team, send your resume to west@unext.com or fax to 812-333-0545. -- William V. West (Bill) Director of Operations UNext.com - Bloomington |
