SoftwareFrom: Laurentiu B. Cristofor laur@cs.umb.eduDate: Thu, 29 Jun 2000 10:51:18 -0400 (EDT) Subject: ARMiner - free association rules miner ARMiner is a free client server application for discovering association rules in datasets. ARMiner has been written in Java as a project for the Software Engineering course offered by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of UMass/Boston. It is being distributed under the Gnu General Public License. ARMiner currently implements two algorithms: Apriori (R. Agrawal & R. Srikant, Fast Algorithms for Mining Association Rules, VLDB 1994) and Closure (D. Cristofor, L. Cristofor & D. Simovici, Galois Connections and Data Mining, JUCS 2000) but more algorithms can be added. ARMiner also offers a synthetic data generator that uses the generation procedure described by Agrawal & Srikant, user management, and the possibility of comparing the performance of the algorithms implemented. Sources, binaries, and documentation of ARMiner are available from http://www.cs.umb.edu/~laur/ARMiner. Laurentiu ( http://www.cs.umb.edu/~laur/ ) |
