Be part of the design team building a solid Ads business and driving revenue across Microsoft Internet services. Design and help architect the data layer and interfaces that will support ads order entry, customer management, order management, ad delivery, ad tracking, reporting, and billing. You will be a key player on the team building the service that will make Microsoft a leader in the ever-growing Internet Advertising space. Primary responsibilities include driving the data analysis, data models, interface specs, designs, standardization models and implementation of our robust and customizable data architecture. This position is responsible for understanding and communicating the data flows and system usage scenarios and working closely with development in architecting and designing a highly modular and flexible data driven system. Design the data infrastructure that will allow advertisers to order and track the richest targeted ads available in the Internet Ads space, MSN to track key revenue and usage statistics, and for MSN to provide consolidated, accurate billing and financial tracking. This position involves a strong technical background in data modeling and management and interface design. Qualifications include a strong understanding of data modeling and database, Internet client/server/protocol technologies, and end-to-end experience in delivering business software applications. Knowledge of and experience with Internet server application development, SQL, XML, IIS, HTML, ASP and Internet technologies are highly desirable. Candidate should have excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to negotiate with external teams, excellent team skills, strong customer orientation and a passion for solving data oriented problems.
