Summary
Manages a team of four to six information and/or technical analysts.  Team
responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the information content
of Fleet's data warehouse and datamarts, developing and administering
access, privacy and security policies, and aiding business analysts who
want to use the data warehouse in interpretation and use of the data and
use of the software tools.  The team will work with FTS to assess
deficiencies in data quality and to design and implement solutions, and to
monitor, measure and improve the performance of the warehouse and
datamarts.  The team may also assist business line managers to acquire
external information (including prospect lists or "mail-to" lists from
marketing promotions) and add this information to the data warehouse so
that it can be used for analysis.

SKILLS:

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in
interactions with executive management.

2. Excellent people management skills.  Able to manage diverse levels of
skills and experience.

3. Demonstrated ability to balance responsiveness with control and
quality.

4. Knowledge of data quality and data administration techniques; ability
to design data quality improvement processes and manage staff in the
implementation of those processes, including re-engineering data
collection processes.

5.  Knowledge of consumer and small business information sources and how
to combine them to improve the power of marketing and other customer
analysis.  Knowledge of external information sources and their
efficiency/effectiveness.

6. Self-starter: ability to work with minimal supervision and to manage
teams of analysts.

7. Proven aptitude for problem-solving.

8. Strong knowledge of database technologies and DSS tools, particularly
SAS and Cognos.
