 The first result of this partnership will be a
 new technology that improves Web search
 on the HotBot search site hotbot.lycos.com.

 e-Cyc, based in Austin, TX, is a division of
 Cycorp, Inc, which is a spin-off from an ambitious MCC project CYC.
That project, led by Doug Leant, was aiming at hand-building
a common-sense enCYClopedia (hence the name).
