Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Director, PID Customer Research & Strategies, will have direct
responsibility for the conceptualization and delivery of sophisticated analyses
& programs in support of divisional business objectives. In addition to this
day-to-day management responsibility, (s)he will be expected to contribute to
the strategic planning and direction of the ACS group and provide meaningful
contributions to divisional and corporate strategy. The Director is expected to
make an immediate impact and demonstrate senior management potential.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Manage staff in developing, executing and delivering high impact projects
consistent with the divisions and corporations business goals and strategies
· Develop innovative programs to enhance the profitability and viability of
the business through effective application of customer analytics and/or research
· Effectively and comfortably manage and communicate extremely sophisticated
analytical projects (and staff) including credit scoring, experimental design,
direct marketing analytics (response modeling, et. al.) and statistical
research and development
· Facilitate the implementation of forward thinking ideas within the existing
organizational structure through effective communication, persuasion and thought
leadership
· Generate, prioritize and champion new business ideas, and articulate paths
to enable them
· Build and maintain positive relationships at the senior management level
and provide leadership in a knowledge-intensive, human capital environment
· Develop, mentor and motivate staff to increase the skillsets and
productivity of the entire unit
· Assist in recruiting and developing top level talent to promote our
objectives
Expertise Parameters:
Functional/Experiential:
· Six to eight years of general management experience in a high growth,
consumer driven environment. The ideal profile will be derived from a
combination of strategy consulting experience and industry experience in
marketing or strategy.
Experience implementing an end to end Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) strategy at another firm (preferably one with a sales force and
multiple product lines and customer segments).
· Insurance background or familiarity a plus
· Superior credentials from a highly regarded college or university
· Superior conceptual reasoning skills supported by quantitative and
analytical thinking ability
· Incisive strategic insight and business acumen
· Creative problem solving and decision making skill
· Demonstrated skill in managing staff effectively, including managing
performance, delegating appropriately, maintaining high standards while
providing development opportunities and the support required to accomplish
goals.
· Experience in a dynamic and entrepreneurial business setting
· Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, flexible and
challenging environment
· Highly developed interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
