Senior Advance Development Engineer
The Sr. Advanced Development Engineer will be responsible for developing
real-time pattern recognition and adaptive control systems that enhance
the online user experience in areas such as personalization and search.
Responsibilities of this position include: devising efficient algorithms
for real-time pattern recognition;  devising adaptive control techniques
to drive optimal customer interaction decisions;  architecting and
implementing highly scalable systems capable of gathering and processing
large amounts of real-time data;  implementation and test;
documenting work including assisting with patents.

Qualifications
        *       Ph. D. in Computer Science of equivalent.
        *       5 years of experience devising data mining algorithms
                and implementing scalable software systems.
        *       In-depth knowledge of data mining techniques for
                structured and/or unstructured (i.e. text) data.
        *       Knowledge of statistical data modeling and machine
                learning techniques (especially Bayesian approaches).
        *       Experience with database systems, SQL, triggers,
                indexing, schema design, tuning.
        *       Strong Knowledge of Internet technologies, CGI, Perl.
        *       Plus would be experience in system architecture
                and/or concurrent programming.
        *       Plus would be experience in full software
                lifecycle (requirements, definition, design,
                implementation, testing).
        *       Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, ability
                to work well in a close-knit team.
        *       Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, demanding
                start-up environment.
