21 Dec 2000. STATISTICA, the comprehensive data analysis and graphing
software from StatSoft, Inc., has been named a corporate PC statistics
software package by BP, one of the world's largest companies in the
energy and petrochemicals industry.  BP technologists cited the
program's technical capabilities, user interface, graphics, and output
management as reasons for their choice.

The BP Software Selection Team noted, "STATISTICA fulfills requirements for
advanced modeling techniques, especially regression methods, neural
networks, and multivariable tools, has presentation-quality output with
excellent graphics, is easy to use, and integrates well with MS Office and
web-based applications."
