Subject: Parsippany, NJ, USA: Manager, Knowledge and business analysis at Cendant
Manage and develop database marketing projects for supporting business
priorities and existing marketing programs.  Help direct, develop and
analyze state-of-the-art database marketing, statistical models
(e.g. customer acquisition, cross-sell), campaign analyses (real-time
and back-end), mission-critical business and adhoc quantitative
analyses using a combination of analytical in-house tools,
technological capabilities and strategic know-how in support of
customer relationship marketing programs.  This position provides
tremendous opportunities for contribution to the business bottom-line
and places great emphasis on applying marketing analysis and customer
knowledge to grow RCI shareholder value.  The individual will play a
critical role in the RCI future E-Commerce, CRM and Marketing Data
Mart projects.

Individual must be able to provide leadership and strong initiative
for developing, analyzing and executing new business opportunities
(e.g. customer lifestage management) and marketing programs.  He or
she will do this by being aware of business issues/needs/priorities
and current information technology data sources and mining tools,
industry use of advanced database marketing techniques so as to
provide an ongoing competitive advantage to the business.  Ability to
continually identify areas of marketing growth potential within the
database and historical information knowledge, and propose and execute
analytical blueprint/concept for implementation (e.g. how to tailor
communications to customers at point of sale or customer interaction
at service call).  Develop and analyze marketing program hypotheses
jointly conceived by membership, affiliates and business research.
Individual must also be able to work with the statisticians and
database analysts to translate hypotheses into database queries,
analyze and transform consumer results into actionable programs to
help grow the business.  Provide profitability analysis and strategic
recommendations for improvements of future acquisition programs and
product development - able to write business presentations and
communicate ideas.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of database marketing, knowledge implementation and
  statistical modeling experience, including system analysis, project
  management, data mining, strategic planning, problem solving,
  consulting and database implementation

* Strong work experience in key direct-to-consumer marketing programs,
  application of statistical techniques, modeling tools, technical
  experience in consumer data and customer marketing database
  technology.  Able to use MIS, web-based and ad hoc reporting tools.

* MBA in Marketing and/or Finance is highly desirable.  Bachelors (or
  higher) in Statistics/Operations Research/Marketing Sciences or
  equivalent a plus

* Superior problem solving and innovative analytical skills with
  ability to work independently and in team environment Commitment to
  creating a learning organization.

* Initiative, self motivation, good judgment and commitment to taking
  on assignments of increasing responsibility
