Subject: Greater Boston, MA: Discovery Informatics at Pharmaceutical Company

The discovery informatics position requires a Ph.D. in statistics, applied mathematics, physics, computer science, M.Sc. in appropriate engineering disciplines, or related fields. Additional knowledge of chemistry or pharmaceutics is advantagous. Strong expertise in data mining or artificial intelligence methodologies including, but not limited to, regression, linear and non-linear modeling, probabilistic models, classification, and multivariate visualization.

Minimum of two years experience in a broad range of data mining problems. Familiarity with Java, Microsoft NT, Unix/Linux, C++, database systems. Minimum of three years of programming experience. Experience with algorithm prototyping environments (e.g. MATLAB) or data mining environments is a plus. Strong problem solving, verbal and written communication skills. Must be creative, team oriented, and self-motivated in transforming ideas to practice.

The candidate will be expected to be part of a team that enhances company value by using his/her skill set in concert with company's expertise in research & developement that is second to none.

The candidate will be a part of a team that enables a vision of creating a world-class discovery informatics and mathematical modeling platform for drug delivery and formulation that will guide experimental design; that develops physical/chemical property relationships for drug-delivery systems using informatics & computational chemistry methodologies; that develops mathematical and statistical models for large complex multidimensional data.

The candidate should be authorized to work in the US and should be a US resident.
