Subject: Boston, MA: Scientific Programmer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking motivated programmers to work on a highly visible advanced knowledge system for bioinformatics. The primary objective of this project is to develop a system for the manipulation and analysis of microarray data. The system will integrate database management, statistical methodology and biologically relevant metadata. These will be joint positions with the Department of Biostatistical Science and the Belfer Cancer Genomic Center.

BA/BS required and advanced degree preferred. Essential skills include excellent C or C++, OOP, ability to work in a team, ability to work in a UNIX environment, and experience with scientfic computing required. Experience with database programming/design, systems design, embedded languages, scripting languages, a background in biology or statistics, image analysis, and visualization also necessary.
