ATLANTA, July 6, 2001 - APower Solutions announced today the formation
of the Data Mining Innovation Center (DMIC). The center is chartered
to focus on the development, application and integration of data
mining technologies for diverse business applications.

The center will be located at APower's headquarters in Atlanta, GA and
will be managed by Andrew Henshaw, APower's COO. Client companies will
gain tremendous benefit from the portfolio of technologies,
methodologies, and processes developed by DMIC.

According to Dr. Parker, CEO of APower Solutions, "Most companies view
data mining as a technology that is limited to CRM and Marketing. In
the near future, many of the benefits of data mining will be realized
in other disciplines, such as process control and software
development. APower formed DMIC to accelerate the use of data mining
in these and other areas."
