Rank will depend on experience and qualifications; for a particularly distinguished scholar, there is the possility of a chaired appointment. The candidate would develop courses and supervise data mining projects, as well as interact with business and industry. Breadth, depth, and flexibility are valued. Depending on a candidate's interests, the position could include formal links to Cornell's Faculty of Computing and Information and/or Department of Statistical Sciences. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Excellence in both research and teaching is required. Applicants should provide a c.v., a 1-page statement of research directions and teaching interests, a doctoral transcript for junior applicants, and other supporting materials. They should also arrange for four recommendation letters to be mailed.
