INSTRUCTORS� BIO:
  • Robert Cooley has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Cooley has had several years of experience applying Vapnik theory to a variety of domains. Prior to joining KXEN, Dr. Cooley was a data mining consultant specializing in CRM and E-commerce, and has worked for several software startups. Dr. Cooley has published numerous papers on the topics of Web Mining and Text Mining and is a member of the ACM and IEEE.
  • Nitin Agrawal has several years of experience architecting and implementing CRM, data warehousing, and data mining systems. Nitin has also been involved in product development and management of data mining workbenches. Prior to joining KXEN, Nitin has worked with Epiphany where he successfully managed and implemented several large scale CRM projects and data warehouses. Nitin also spend several years with Urban Science where he was responsible for product development and management for GainSmarts data mining product. Nitin has a masters degree from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of engineering from Indian Institute of Technology.
  • Kevin Watanabe has a M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of Hawaii. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Computational Statistics at the School of Computational Sciences, George Mason University. Prior to joining KXEN, he was Director of Biostatistics specializing in pharmaceutical research. For five years he served as Senior Study Director on studies monitoring the U.S. blood and plasma supply for retroviruses. After completing his M.S., he conducted studies of occupational exposure to carcinogens among veterans exposed to herbicides, atmospheric nuclear tests, and chemical warfare agents. He has published and presented numerous biomedical papers and is a member of SIGKDD, ASA, and the Drug Information Association.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
  • 9.30 am � 10 am: Welcome coffee
  • 10 am - 1pm: Morning session (overview and theory)
  • 1pm � 2pm: Lunch provided by KXEN
  • 2pm � 4pm: Afternoon session (hands on training with your data)
