• Provide data analysis and mining services to MSN business units based on Internet usage data.
• Provide complete solutions to business problems using various data analysis and data mining techniques and statistics. Projects may include case study, methodology research, tool evaluation, model development, prototyping, and deployment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Good scripting and rapid prototyping skills, experience working with real data sets to solve business problems involving data analysis and data mining, solid knowledge of relational database, familiarity with data analysis tools, data mining tools, and statistical packages, fluency in one of the following: C/C++, SQL, Perl, good communications skills, ability to work independently and research innovative solutions to challenging technical problems, attention to details and data accuracy.
• Also requires broad experience applying data mining techniques, neural networks, statistics, pattern recognition, nonlinear optimization and/or genetic algorithms to real-world data and substantial expertise with large business data sets.
• Significant experience solving business problems involving internet data mining.
• A MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics is required for this position.
