The conference solicits research papers as well as proposals for tutorials and workshops on all aspects of knowledge discovery and data mining. Areas of Interests (including, but not limited to) -------------------------------------------------- * Data Mining Biomedical Domains * Novel Data Mining algorithms * Data and Knowledge Representation * Scientific Discovery * Machine Learning Methods * Statistical Methods * Mining High Dimensional Data * Text Data Mining * Temporal Data Mining * Data and Knowledge Visualization * Interactive and Online Mining * KDD Process and Human Interaction * Data Mining in Advanced (OO, Spatial, Multimedia) Databases * Integration of Data Warehousing, OLAP and Data Mining * Parallel and Distributed Data Mining * Data Mining and the Internet * Multi-agent, Multi-task KDD Systems * Data Mining from Unstructured and Multimedia Data * Security and Privacy Issues Submission Guidelines --------------------- Papers (Due November 15, 2002): The paper should consist of a cover page with title, authors' names, postal and e-mail addresses, an approximately 200 word summary, up to 5 keywords and a body not longer than 12 single-spaced pages, with font size at least 11 pts. All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format only, using the conference management tool. Detailed instructions can be found at http://aitrc.kaist.ac.kr/~pakdd03. Proposals for Tutorials and Workshops (Due October 25, 2002): Tutorial proposals must clearly identify the intended audience. A proposal should include, in English, a description and outline of the proposed contents; names, affiliations, and biographical sketches of the speakers. The intended length of the tutorial (3 or 6 hours) should also be indicated. Submit the proposals by e-mail to Tutorial Chairs. Workshop proposals should be submitted to Workshop Chairs.
