Accenture on CRM failures; Baylor U. on CRM successes

Why do more than half of all CRM installations reportedly fail? Research from consulting firm Accenture Ltd. found that 75% of more than 100 Fortune 1000 executives surveyed believe that flawed execution plans are the leading cause of CRM breakdown. Other contributing issues include lack of long-term CRM vision and inadequate support from upper management.

On the other hand, CRMDaily reports that majority of CRM projects stick to budget, according to CRMDaily.

New research from Baylor University found more than half of companies surveyed said their CRM projects came in within budget. Also, 85% reported meeting their anticipated ROI.
