Intelliorg develops system for TIA

Orlando Sentinel (Mar 3, 2003) reports that Intelliorg, a company associated with the University of Central Florida won a state grant to beta-test a pattern-recognition technology developed for the nation's homeland security program.

Intelliorg Inc. will test the system this spring in partnership with the National Domestic Preparedness Council. The small company will provide ongoing pattern recognition and services to the NDPC, which is led by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the University of West Virginia and the state of West Virginia.

NDPC, which trains homeland security, intelligence and emergency management workers, hopes to use Intelliorg's technology for its vulnerability analysis, threat analysis and counterterrorism program.

The Intelliorg program monitors databases, looking for patterns that are meaningful to security experts.

Intelliorg's grant, worth about $95,000, will allow the company to finish testing its program and open the way to sell it and related services to NDPC.
