Genedata and Singapore Cancer Centre Singapore Collaborate on Diagnostics

July 8, 2003. Genedata, the renowned leader for scientifically validated software systems and computational solutions for the drug discovery industry, has announced a collaboration with the National Cancer Center Singapore (NCCS) - one of the core cancer research institutes in Singapore. The NCCS has licensed our innovative computational system Genedata Expressionist to support investigation in the area of genomics-based cancer research. Scientists at the NCCS will use Expressionist for the identification of minimal sets of diagnostic marker genes for classifying tissues and different cancer types into subclasses. Expressionist will also be employed to identify the function of genes involved in tumor development and progression, understand the biological processes that are critical for tumor progression, and characterize oncogenic signal transduction pathways.
