Skarven is a young, growing, customer funded company located in a western New Jersey suburb of New York City with products in risk management and financial information tools. We have forty employees and are currently recruiting a talented individual to help examine large volumes of financial data and develop sensible models for statistical analysis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design algorithms for analyzing high-frequency market data
• Implement prototypes of models (C/C++, PERL, statistical software packages, etc.)
• Research data in a variety of markets (equities, bonds, FX, ...)
• Data preparation and cleaning REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline
• Programming experience
• Familiarity with statistics software packages and scripting languages
• Experience analyzing massive data sets
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
