UCSD is holding a data mining competition, sponsored by Fair Isaac, Inc. that is open to everyone (although UCSD members are also eligible for prizes).

Everyone is welcome to take part in this contest. There are two tasks; the first is a standard two-class classifier learning problem, while the second involves pattern completion. The deadline for submitting entries is July 15.

The dataset used in the contest is mass spectrometry of real pollution data.
