JOB DESCRIPTION
We currently have one immediate opening for a Data Miner /Software
Engineer. Qualified candidates will have at least 3+ years of software
development experience and a BS, or 0-1 year of software development
experience and a MS. This candidate will be involved with new product
development building the next generation search engine positioning
software system using Microsoft .net technologies, Windows 2000 and
SQL Server 2000. Experience applying and interpreting statistical
inference methodologies, decision trees, and other traditional data
mining techniques is a must. This individual will be responsible for
specification, design, and development of individual components of the
system. This candidate will also extend existing systems and resolve
technical issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in:
- Software design and development
- Windows and web application development
- Object Oriented design and programming experience
- C#, or C++, or Java
- Experience with HTML, XML/XSL, javascript, and vbscript
- Database design and interface experience using Microsoft SQL Server2000 and ADO or ADO.net.
- Data mining/analytical skills
- Matlab or other statistical package.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects or assignments simultaneously.
Strong communication; logical problem solving skills; and technical writing skills for design documents.
Self motivated team player
BS in Computer Science or Statistics with a Comp. Sci minor. MS Computer Science with a concentration in data mining strongly preferred.
