A small Houston software firm has racked up an impressive list of major clients in a diverse array of industries.

Customers of PolyVista range from technology giant Hewlett-Packard Co. and global energy conglomerate British Petroleum to telecom heavyweight Verizon and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

The company founded by Shabhaz Anwar in 1998 helps users discover anomalies, identify trends and pinpoint relationships within huge databases over a short period of time.
