The University of Arizona (UA) Management Information Systems (MIS) ( www.eller.arizona.edu/mis/) Department is recruiting a faculty member to begin Fall 2005. The opening is a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position in technical IT/IS areas such as systems analysis/design, supply chain management, product life cycle management, machine learning, data and text mining, and/or database management.

The UA MIS Department's undergraduate and graduate programs are consistently ranked in the top five by U.S. News and World Report. The department is a top recipient of grant and contract funding among business schools and has done pioneering research in collaborative systems, information retrieval, digital libraries, intelligence and security informatics, knowledge management, process management, enterprise data management, Web services, virtual teams and leadership. It also has a record of established research partnerships with industry, including corporations such as Compuware, Intel, Honeywell, and IBM. The department offers an excellent environment for research and teaching, as well as support for collaborative research endeavors.
