Become a member of the Lycos technology team responsible for new product development. In this applied research position, you will be an integral member of the Search Innovations team with responsibility for setting the vision of future Lycos products.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• The ideal candidate has demonstrated expertise and innovation in areas like Information Extraction, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, and Natural Language Processing.
• Must have experience with various statistical data analysis methodology.
• Must have significant experience with issues like entity identification and extraction, clustering, semantic analysis, link analysis, etc.
• Must have extensive experience prototyping in one or more languages, such as C/C++, C#/Java, or Perl/Python.
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must have a history of demonstrating initiative.

• Minimum of 3-5 years industry experience, 7-10 years preferred.
• Minimum of MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, PhD preferred.
