SPSS Data Mining Day 2005 in Japan - over 1,500 attendees

Hosting a data-mining event has been a tradition of SPSS Japan's for the last seven years. SPSS Data Mining Day 2005, the world largest data-mining event, was held on May 20th in Tokyo and drew over 1500 attendees. The keynote by Professor Yukihiko Uehara from Meiji University put an emphasis on how data mining contributes to marketing efforts to grow businesses. Followed by the keynote, SPSS Japan demonstrated how data mining and other enabling technologies of SPSS enable the Predictive Enterprise, which makes optimal use of data organization-wide. This year's customer success stories were presented by NIFTY, Japan's leading ISP, and NTT Docomo, the nation's top cell phone company. Both of these stories focused on how they connect data to effective actions with SPSS's data-mining technology.
