New Patent Covers Support Vector Machine Pre-Processing Methods

9/20/2005 9:33:00 AM EST

Health Discovery Corporation (OTCBB:HDVY) announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued HDVY its latest SVM-related patent, Patent No. 6,944,602, entitled "Spectral Kernels for Learning Machines." The new patent covers a novel pre-processing technique for use with SVM's that was developed by Nello Cristianini, a recognized authority in the field of SVM and co-author of the widely referenced book, "An Introduction to Support Vector Machines." The patent describes and covers spectral kernels, based on the mathematics of spectral graph theory, which are useful for pre-processing of data in supervised and semi-supervised learning, as well as for clustering of data in unsupervised analysis. Spectral kernels can be used in conjunction with SVM's as well as with other types of kernel machines.

Here is the rest of the story.
