I�R is Singapore's premier Information, Communications and Media (ICM) research institute. We are currently located on a wooded ridge, amid tropical greenery, and overlooking the sea. I�R currently employs over 300 researchers coming from many nationalities and working in diverse areas including digital wireless, embedded systems, security, media and signal processing, networking, knowledge discovery, speech and natural language processing, automated video analysis, radio systems and fibre optics.

We are currently looking for outstanding researchers to join us as Lead Scientist. You will head the Discovery System Lab of the Knowledge Discovery Department and be responsible for providing research leadership for a team of 6-8 young and motivated scientists who are well-trained in applied bioinformatics. We seek a talented and motivated individual who can visualize, develop and execute new scientific directions to propel technological advancements in knowledge discovery with their applications in genomics and healthcare.

Requirements:

• A PhD in Computer Science/Bioinformatics with more than 3 years' post-doctoral experience and published evidence of excellent independent research
• Experience in building a strong research team and directing a successful research programme in bioinformatics
• Pharmaceutical industry experience or ability to secure independent international research funding will be a plus
