Subject: Toronto, Canada: Manager, Customer Analysis and Modeling at a major financial institution

Accountabilities
Responsible for meeting the predictive modeling, program analysis and related list management needs through the development and execution of tactics and the application of technical expertise on various initiatives. This includes the following:

  • Analyze customer data to identify opportunities of acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers and increasing overall profitability through cross-selling or asset consolidation
  • Build and validate statistical models to predict attrition, likelihood of response and net asset increases
  • Provide analytical/statistical consulting to clients for program and initiative design
  • Provide superior analyses that support product initiatives, marketing programs and customer strategies
  • Develop and document campaign list development criteria
  • Evaluate and influence the effectiveness of marketing programs and Tier 1 initiatives through pre and post analysis and management of customer contacts
  • Support brand development through appropriate analyses for media planning and advertising investment
  • Actively participate within the cross-functional 'Results-Driven Marketing' team
  • Design, coordinate and manage project plans to ensure targets are met; provide timely and responsible feedback on project progress to team leaders and functional management
  • Recommend appropriate analytical and technical solutions to business problems or issues
Scope/Requirements
  • Masters Degree in quantitative discipline; PhD would be an asset
  • Minimum of 4-5 years previous experience in direct marketing, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Advanced predictive modeling skills
  • Superior hands-on knowledge of data-mining tools, particularly SAS and SQL
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Very strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels in organization
