The Yahoo Search Marketing (YSM) Business Intelligence group in Burbank, CA is focused on exploiting data to optimize Yahoo's paid search business. The immediate project you will work on offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high impact, challenging, and fast paced reporting and business intelligence needs.

We are seeking a Senior Manager with expertise in development, rollout, and support for large scale reporting and analytic needs for an enterprise level business.

The position requires a strong services background with ability to understand business requirements and a strong technical background in reporting systems, business intelligence and data warehousing. It requires an energetic, experienced self-starter with a track record of quick learning, engineering excellence and customer service. The candidate should be passionate about creating high-quality, usable reporting systems that will be successfully adopted to drive the use of data in corporate decisions across Yahoo!.

There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with internal business teams, analysts and product managers in order to develop targeted reporting and analytic tools and applications that can be used to optimize and generate opportunities for the search marketing business.

Basic qualifications:

• Database knowledge and technical skills such as Oracle - SQL, PL/SQL, Perl
• Experience in dimensional modeling, OLAP, reporting, ETL technologies, Query performance tuning
• Experience working with large transactional and reporting databases
• Passion for implementing reporting and analysis applications to drive effective business decision making
• Service oriented experience in directly meeting operational and analytical needs of business groups
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills
• Analytic mind & strong problem-solving capabilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; MS or higher degree preferred
• 7+ years experience in building reports, analytics, datamarts and data warehouses;
• 10+ yrs industry experience preferred
• Senior management experience including managing medium to large teams and projects with product deadlines
