Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Lead a team responsible for transforming data into data-driven strategies that improve profitability
- Provide thought leadership regarding solutions to strategic issues
- Consult with marketing/sales to identify and define strategic business issues requiring analytics
- Create and manage segmentation schemes to help improve customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty
- Develop profitable customer contact management strategies to orchestrate growth and acquisition efforts
- Translate business needs/opportunities into analysis designs providing insight, knowledge, and understanding of customers, products, and industries
- Continually develop new ideas and communicate/coordinate potential uses for analytics across the business
- Fully understand relevant business opportunities, clearly size opportunities, and effectively prioritize efforts
- Communicate recommendations and obtain buy-in from sales, marketing, and senior leaders
- Provide guidance to local/external analysts to ensure strategic alignment, efficient use, and development of all resources on the team
- Utilize SAS for analytics as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- 10+ years experience (3+ years in financial services) in a direct marketing/CRM environment utilizing math/statistical techniques to solve problems in areas such as customer segmentation, predictive modeling, forecasting, optimization, test design, reporting and analysis design, measurement strategy development, and financial modeling
- Demonstrated ability to solve critical business needs using innovative solutions
- Ability to consolidate and communicate insights in an actionable way to facilitate growth; understand rationale of management requirements; and translate into key takeaways
- Proactive, self-starter that will both execute and identify opportunities to add value/insights to the leadership team and make process improvements to drive efficiencies
- Demonstrated success managing strategy, implementation, and optimization of direct marketing programs
- Hands-on recent experience in SAS. SQL and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills a plus
- Excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work both independently and within groups
- Must possess strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Desired:
- BS in statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, or equivalent quantitative field
- Quality Certified and Masters Degree
- Experience with both B-to-C and B-to-B marketing analysis
