Kostoff (Office of Naval Research)Date: 23 Aug 2006 Subject: Anthrax Research Literature Assessment Report A report on the structure and infrastructure of the anthrax research literature (1) is now available for downloading www.onr.navy.mil/sci_tech/special/354/technowatch/textmine.asp This report identifies the key performers and Centers of Excellence for both the overall anthrax literature and very specific biomedical thrusts as well. The report identifies the main biomedical thrusts and their relationships. It uses mapping extensively to show networks of authors and institutions that co-publish, as well as to to show networks of authors and institutions that use common terminology (and have common interests). Finally, the seminal literature of anthrax research was identified, and an extensive analysis of the main components of this literature was performed. RNK
