Quality Planning Corporation, (QPC), a unit of ISO, is an insurance solutions company specializing in analytics, information and decision support for the private passenger automobile insurance industry. Our clients include many of the nations leading property and casualty insurers.

We currently have an opening for a Statistical Analyst/Data Modeler. We are seeking an individual with strong quantitative skills to work with other researchers on solving numerous real world problems. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of issues, which will require the application of various statistical techniques and methodologies to hundreds of large datasets. Our work environment is informal but highly professional; we expect our people to learn quickly and to perform a variety of functions.

Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of basic regression (OLS and ANOVA) required and experience with other advanced statistical techniques is a plus
  2. Comfort working with large datasets in a client/server environment
  3. Experience with at least one of the following software packages: SAS, SPSS. S-Plus/R, or STATA.
  4. Candidate should possess at least a Masters degree (preferably from an applied field such as Biology, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, or Operations Research) OR a Bachelors degree in one of the fields listed above with two years of data modeling experience
  5. Minimum one year experience in applied statistics
  6. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  7. Experience and knowledge of the insurance industry we serve is a definite plus.

Compensation:
