Academic/ResearchSubject: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Disease Outbreak Modeling at U. Pitt The RODS Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in disease outbreak modeling. We are conducting cutting edge research on the simulation of disease outbreaks and their effects on biosurveillance data. Disease outbreak models that are developed in this research will be used in state-of-the-art evaluation software developed by the RODS Laboratory. The RODS Laboratory is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary group that is a leader in biosurveillance research and development of biosurveillance software. It has pioneered numerous methods and techniques that are now standard in the field. Candidates should have a publication record in their chosen field of study and a foundational knowledge of epidemiology and statistics. Education requirement: A completed, or soon to be completed, Ph.D. in epidemiology, biostatistics, biomedical informatics, computer science, or a related field.
