Analytic Science Senior Manager in San Rafael, CA (req # 2474).
Job Description
Designs, plans, develops, coordinates and directs analytic work done on highly visible, multi-million dollar engagements. Responsible for:
- Managing a team of junior analytic staff, mentoring and coaching them for analytic career progression;
- Managing the analytic components of the project, including project schedules, workflow, and direction to the analytic team;
- Analytic leadership in thinking through key project decisions;
- Ensuring the client's business objectives are incorporated into the analytic plan;
- Communicating key analytic findings to client, and responsible for addressing client's analytic concerns under Delivery Manager guidance;
- Educating clients on Enterprise Decision Management technology, e.g., "demo-ing" the science;
- The trade-off between analytic quality and speed/cost of production;
- Conceives, plans and conducts investigations and experiments in uncharted areas;
- Invents new methodologies or approaches to problems and translates them into improvements in Fair Isaac products or tools;
- Develops quality control standards; designs quality control procedures;
- Serves as mentor and fosters the career development of entry- and intermediate-level professional staff members;
- Represents the company at industry conferences or academic conventions; promotes the company through public speaking and/or writing articles, to audiences of clients, regulators, legislators, or the media;
- Investigates newly developed technologies and methodologies from throughout the Fair Isaac analytic community for potential application to existing or planned products of the Unit;
- Maintain a strong personal base of knowledge with respect to decision management technology, industry practices, trends and issues.
Requires:
- Minimum 6 years experience with an analytic solutions or consulting company, with at least 3 in a client-facing project management capacity;
- Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field;
- Experience in applying statistics, mathematics and operations research techniques to the solution of data-driven business problems;
- Knowledge and experience in applying data to solve business problems through quantitative analysis. Experience with predictive modeling, optimization and similar data-driven business solutions;
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of project management, and work scheduling.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
