Compliance system warns of risky users who could cause harm on a network.

SailPoint Technologies introduced a system Monday that makes it easier for network administrators to identify risky users and activities on a network so companies can avoid exposing information to the wrong people.

The Austin, Texas-based company uses data mining and analytics to determine which users on a network have access to information they shouldn’t be able to see. SailPoint’s “identity intelligence” system, Compliance IQ, can also find out if network users are trying to doing anything with the data that poses a threat to a company’s regulatory compliance responsibilities.
