Our Sales Finance team is currently growing its team and has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Statistical Modeling Manager looking for a new challenge.

Their focus will be providing provocative analysis and insight into topics such as customer sales trends and churn. They will innovate how our team researches data, analyzes trends and recommends initiatives that drive customer growth. They will participate on cross functional teams with Marketing, Financial Planning and Credit / Portfolio Analysis

The Statistical Modeling Manager will become our recognized team expert in data mining, regression, predictive statistical modeling and analysis.

The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Lead innovative mathematical approaches to solving complex business problems.
  • Analyze sales performance and trends to identify opportunities, risks and variances.
  • Create predictive modeling tools and measure the effectiveness of Sales & Marketing Initiatives.
  • Create both ad hoc and automated production reporting and analysis tools.
  • Identify the causal relationships and develop tools to forecast future customer churn.
  • Provide analysis to Sales Leadership with recommendations on growing sales.
  • Establish research methodology to effectively evaluate initiatives and performance.
  • Guide and Mentor other Analysts on modeling techniques.
  • Recommend technology/software to improve the effectiveness across the team.
Required experience and educational background will include the following:
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics.
  • 5+ years experience in a Statistical Modeling and Analysis function.
  • Skilled in creating predictive modeling tools (eg. ARIMA, Regression, Self-Learning Models).
  • Strong proficiency with SAS, producing both ad hoc and production analysis.
  • Proficient with SQL.
  • Previous experience in Wireless or other Subscriber-Oriented environments preferred.
