Subject: Seattle, WA: Director of Analytics at Atlas
Atlas (www.AtlasSolutions.com) is a provider of digital marketing

The Director of Analytics will
lead a team of analysts responsible for domestic and international client
support. Additionally, the Analytics Director will oversee research projects
which will inform the future evolution of the Atlas Publisher optimization
technology, a sell-side yield maximization engine for online publishers. As
such, the Analytics Director will act as both a technical mentor for
individuals working on core system analytics and a strong leader supporting
analysts engaged in directly client facing analytics projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategy and
project recommendations for on-going analytical improvements to our
products.
- Engage in critical
analytic R&D for products, including prototyping analytics
improvements to assess value of integration and explore implementation
options.
- Provide support for
software development and operations teams: assess implications of analytic
improvements, assist in development of test cases, analyze system
behavior, and monitor the performance of newly released algorithms.
- Act as a technical
mentor for the analytics team.
- Oversee generation
and presentation of client facing, ad hoc and scheduled analytics research
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Creative person with
strong analytics and quantitative ability.
- Must possess strong
leadership skills.
- Must possess strong
communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with
technical program management, analysts, internal business owners, senior
management, and external clients
- Adaptable, flexible
person able to participate in a broad range of roles and function well in
the face of time and resource constraints
- Must have sufficient
programming and statistical package expertise to function independently
and work with data directly.
- Basic familiarity
with relational databases (i.e., SQL) required; additional programming
experience (i.e., VBA / C# / C++) strongly preferred.
- Must be open to learning
new skills.
Education and Experience
- A college degree
with significant coursework in statistics, math, computer science, and/or
econometrics required.
- Post-graduate degree
in a quant-related field strongly preferred
- 5+ years
demonstrated leadership ability required, including direct experience
managing highly quantitative personnel
- 7+ years experience
data mining or generating statistic-based research
- Experience working
in an entrepreneurial environment preferred
- Experience in
interactive marketing a plus
