Chief Scientist for a hot online advertising company
OfferPal Media is a Web 2.0 online advertising start-up that provides an innovative online consumer acquisition service, on a pay-for-performance basis. OfferPal Media enables online merchants and advertisers to grow revenues, acquire quality customers and maximize brand reach through blogs, websites and social networks.

We are a fast growing startup company founded by successful serial entrepreneurs and funded by top-tier VCs. The company is still in stealth mode with a broader public launch planned for Q108.

Come join us and help us charter new territory in data science while changing the nature of online advertising! The Chief Scientist will be responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art, data-driven exploratory system for deriving insights from massive amounts of data. End results include software that makes money and potentially publications. The Chief Scientist will work as part of a team to process data, code algorithms, conduct experiments and analyze and report results. We are looking for a:

• A keen scientific mind with expertise in techniques for extracting insights from massive amounts of data.
• A Ph.D. in machine learning with solid background in statistics is a plus.
• The ability to use object oriented languages such as Java and/or scripting languages to manipulate data, develop and test algorithms is also required.
