The prudsys AG is organizing the 9th edition of the DATA-MINING-CUP (DMC) in this year. Today this competition is the worldwide leading Data Mining contest for students.

In this year we expect again more than 600 participants from all over the world (Review 2007: 688 registrated participants of 159 universities from 40 countries) to try their hand at finding the optimal solution to a data analysis problem.

Interested students can register online for the this years DMC competition participation since March 10, 2008.

Registration form

The DMC Competition 2008 will start on April 1, 2008 with handing out the contest task. Until May 15, 2008, the participants can hand in their results. To achieve a high degree of practical relevance as well as to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge in reality, the DMC Competition is supported once again by a special partner - G�nther Direct Services.

Details on the task will be published with beginning of the DMC Competition on April 1, 2008.

Up for grabs for top participants are attractive prizes such as participation in the KDD 2008, the world�s largest international conference for "Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining" (August 24-27, 2008 in Las Vegas).

Prizes will be awarded on June 4, 2008 as part of the DMC User Days 2008 (Leipzig/Germany).
