Strategy & Analysis Group
The Digitas Strategy & Analysis Group is responsible for driving strategic thinking and economic insight across multiple client engagements. Specifically, we:

  • Discover new paths for growth by uncovering and developing new segments, products, and channels
  • Optimize budget and programs through test-and-learn, discipline, innovation and analysis to get the best possible return on the marketing investment
  • Lay the Strategy foundation for companies just starting to develop relationship marketing capabilities
  • Collaborate with creative, media, marketing and technology to build a robust marketing strategy for the client
Responsibilities

  • Participates in and/or drives the design and development of online measurement solutions
  • Guides project teams in delivering measurement strategy and infrastructure needs
  • Develops clients� web measurement strategies and reporting of key business metrics for multiple audiences including client senior management
  • Designs, generates and manages reporting frameworks that provide insight as to the performance of clients� website and/or drive to site online (interactive) marketing programs
  • Provides insights and develops recommendations based on measurement reporting and analysis and where appropriate to improve business, website and/or marketing program performance and support forecasting efforts
  • Manages external vendors
  • Analyzes and interprets information from multiple data sources as needed (database, research and syndicated) through knowledge and application of various quantitative methods
  • Provides leadership and direction to Analysts and Senior Analysts on all aspects of client deliverables
  • Maintains functional expertise in database marketing, integrated channel marketing (including online based channels such as websites, banners, email and search), analytical tools, techniques, and other infrastructure requirements
Qualifications

  • Proven experience with attitudinal measurement tools such as Dynamic Logic and Insight Express, database marketing and web analytics
  • Thorough understanding of online (web) metrics, hands-on experience with tools of trade, and knowledge of various web measurement technologies such as:
    • Website traffic analytics software (tagging and log file based) such as WebTrends, WebSideStory (HitBox/HBX), CoreMetrics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, Urchin, Visual Sciences, IBM SurfAid
    • Ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART, Poindexter, BlueStreak/Ion, Mediaplex/MOJO, Atlas
    • Paid search engine marketing data sources such as Google, Overture/Yahoo, Did-It and GoToast
  • Experience in website analysis and knowledge of infrastructure requirements to deliver measurement solutions
  • Bachelor�s Degree, preferably in marketing, communications, mathematics, or economics
  • MBA or other relevant advanced quantitative degree a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and customer relationship management disciplines
  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills
  • Ability to utilize Access, SAS or SPSS, SQL, Strata or other database packages a plus
  • Prior experience in client-facing roles
  • Mentorship and coaching skills can be desirable when called upon to develop and guide a small team composed of Analysts and Senior Analysts
  • Flexibility to travel
Career Path
The length of time in the Manager role will depend on educational background and prior experience. After this period, Managers typically get considered for the Associate Director role. If Managers decide to leave Digitas, they generally take management positions across different industries or choose to pursue a more entrepreneurial path. Some of our alumni continue to pursue advanced degrees at top business schools and other business related degrees.
