As the Director, Management Information you will manage aspects of the most sensitive, highly visible and comprehensive corporate projects. This is a newly created position that will work directly with our key stakeholders in our sales and distribution areas to identify data and reporting needs that will further the business. This role will be integral in capturing new sets of data that help to provide our sales channel with competitive market data that help us to better target our efforts. You will negotiate project objectives and direction with senior level corporate managers on projects that vary in scope and duration. You will have responsibilities for driving development of Personal Markets distribution management information strategy, focusing on data needs to develop comprehensive marketing and new business production information across all distribution channels and marketing media.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and prioritizes opportunities to enhance access to and quality of information that will support new distribution opportunities and future business growth. Works with channel and marketing managers to develop flexible data strategies that meet mgmt. information needs.
  • Interacts with users and stakeholders to determine business information needs and data requirements. Conducts internal research to assess systems capabilities and constraints. Defines management information data requirements for new systems development.
  • Acts as business subject matter expert to ensure data strategy for existing and future systems is flexible to support current and emerging business information needs. With Distribution Systems and IT partners, manages project lifecycle (scope, deliverables, timeline) for management information development projects.
  • Interacts effectively with executives from stakeholder communities to drive awareness of business impact of data quality, and influence changes to systems, applications or processes to improve data quality. Partners with Distribution Systems and Information Management to ensure appropriate data governance.
  • Demonstrates comfort in presenting complex subjects to Senior Managers, Systems/Information Management experts, and business subject matter experts. Able to clearly illustrate complex subjects.
  • Directs supporting resources across departments and functions to ensure the completion of work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manages 1-2 business/systems analysts as direct reports. Also directly responsible for the performance of project team members crossing multiple departments. Project team size varies by size and complexity of projects.
Qualifications::
  • Graduate degree in related field or equivalent training required.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressively more responsible experience in a financial and/or project management environment with exposure to project planning, simulation, modeling, capital budgeting, cost benefit analysis and information systems development required.
  • Strong negotiation skills also required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience required.
